Chocolate bread - you can't beat this beauty! It really is unbelievably amazing. This is definitely a treat and is gorgeous eaten just as it is but also pretty delicious with almond butter spread on top!

  • 1 teaspoon(s) gluten free baking powder
  • 4 Egg(s)
  • 60 mL Coconut Oil
  • 120 mL Honey
  • 120 grams Pecan Nuts
  • 200 grams Ground almonds
  • 30 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch(es) Sea Salt
  • 90 grams dark chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F/180 degrees C.
  2. Grease a loaf tin with coconut oil and line the tin with parchment paper.
  3. Melt the coconut oil to measure out 60ml melted coconut oil.
  4. Combine the eggs, melted coconut oil and honey in a large bowl and mix well.
  5. Add the pecans to a food processor and blitz until the pecans are ground as small as possible.
  6. Mix together the ground almonds, ground pecans, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in another large bowl.
  7. Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well to combine.
  8. Stir in the dark chocolate chips and then pour the whole mixture into your lined loaf tin.
  9. Bake for about 35 minutes and then leave to cool in its tin for about 10 minutes before turning out on to a wire rack.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.
