Kale is a superfood and is one of the healthiest veggies you can eat!

The benefits of eating leafy greens like kale is that they contain phytonutrients, special antioxidants that help the body fend off things like inflammation, and basically make you feel better both now and over the long term if eaten consistently.

As an added bonus kale is packed full of vitamin A, C, K, iron and calcium.

Baked kale chips are one of the healthiest options you could reach for when that salty craving comes around! Make a lot as they'll be gobbled up fast!

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F/150 degrees C.
  2. Wash and dry the kale. It's very important that the kale is dry when you bake it, otherwise it might turn out chewy instead of being crispy and crunchy.
  3. Remove the centre stems from the kale and either tear or cut up the leaves.
  4. Toss the kale and olive oil together in a large bowl. Sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Spread on a baking sheet (or two depending on the amount of kale - you don't want to overcrowd the baking sheet otherwise the kale won’t turn out as crispy.).
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until crisp. Keep a close eye on them as every oven is different and you don't want them to burn.
