Green Goodness Boost Juice

If you can manage it, making this healthy green drink a daily addition to your diet would help supplement vitamins and minerals you might otherwise miss.
The ginger and turmeric are brilliant for their anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
We blend the veggies in this recipe as the pulp means you are getting the fiber along with the veggies which is important. If you prefer a smoother consistency, you can use a juicer instead of a blender but bear in mind you will need much more veg to get the same quantity of drink!

- 400 mL water
- 1 Lemon
- 1 large bunch Kale
- 1 Carrot(s)
- 1 Apple(s)
- 1 inch piece Ginger
- 1 inch piece Fresh Turmeric

Directions
- Wash the kale and remove the leaves from the tough stalks.
- Top and tail the carrot and chop roughly.
- Core the apple and chop roughly.
- Peel the ginger and the turmeric.
- Add the water, the juice of 1 lemon and all the prepared ingredients in a powerful blender, and whiz until everything is smooth, about 15 seconds.
- Serve over ice.
